Hi, I'm Laura.
I’m an HCPC registered clinical psychologist with over 15 years experience. I am also a multiple mum, was widowed at age 35 and decided to follow my own path by working for myself. I have been employed previously in the NHS in adult forensic, learning disability, older adult and inpatient services. I continue to work for the NHS on a part-time basis, as an expert witness in court proceedings and offer training and consultancy to organisations. I have a special interest in relational therapeutic approaches and leadership.
When I’m not seeing patients, I live with my blended family, spend time with friends and occasionally sneak away to go wild swimming or practice falling off a surfboard. The sea is my own personal wellbeing elixir.
I experience all the same challenges in life as everyone.
I am professional, but I am also authentic and intuitive. Recently, a school friend asked me how I can do what I do when I had lost my husband so young. He laughed when I told him ‘because I went to therapy of course’. I view therapy as the ultimate in self-care. It is a recognition that sometimes our resilience takes a knock and we need some extra input.
If you would like to schedule some therapeutic time for yourself, head over to my contact page to get in touch.
I look forward to meeting you.
